The step by step process of making the grilled cheese using an air fryer are given below:
Step 1:
Take the 2 slices of bread, you can use whole wheat bread or white bread for the sandwiches. Now, butter one side of each slice of bread and make sure to use enough butter to cover them. Try not to over butter it.
Step 2:
Take 2 slices of your favorite cheese and place them in one slice of bread. Then cover it with the other slice making sure the buttered sides of the breads are facing out.
Be sure the cheese slices are properly tucked in inside the breads and not hanging out otherwise it will burn.
Step 3:
Place the bread with the cheese slices in the basket of the air fryer. You can rub the bottom of the basket with butter before placing it. Sometimes the powerful air of some air fryers makes the bread fly around.
To avoid this problem you can secure it with a couple of toothpicks to hold down the top slice of the bread so that it does not fly off inside the air fryer.
Step 4:
Now place the basket in the air fryer and for the grilled cheese set the temperature at 360 degrees F to cook for 8 minutes. Halfway down to 4 minutes of cooking, open the basket and gently flip the grilled cheese sandwich. Then cook for the rest 4 minutes.
